Spray solutions to reduce and control foam in tanks and processing systems.
Foam is a persistent problem in tanks, scrubbers, and process vessels handling detergents, proteins, or agitated liquids — left unchecked, it can overflow a tank, blind a level sensor, or interfere with a downstream process. Rather than relying solely on chemical defoamers, many facilities knock foam down mechanically with a fine, low-impact spray directed at the foam layer, breaking the surface tension that holds bubbles together without disturbing the process below. The right nozzle for foam control produces a wide, even spray that covers the full foam surface without the high impact force that would splash product out of an open vessel. The droplets should act as bullets piecing and collapsing the bubbles that make up a foam. BEX manufactures nozzles built for effective foam knockdown, including Hollow Cone threaded nozzles for fine, wide-coverage misting and Flat Spray nozzles for targeted foam knock-down along tank edges and weirs.
